Steady in Seven: Settle
A week of five-minute afternoon and evening practices for the turn of the season. Start any day.
The light leaves earlier now. The mornings feel cool.
Part of you wants to slow down and turn inward. The rest of your life is still moving at summer speed.
It's 9:30. You're tired, but your mind is still running.
In Ayurveda, fall is the season of wind: cool, dry and always moving. When your days keep moving too, you can end up scattered and wired instead of settled. This week helps you slow down with the season, one small, warm habit at a time, especially later in the day, when it's easiest. Many people find a calmer evening makes for an easier night and a steadier next day.
